Diversified Marine wins newbuilding orders from Brusco Tug and Barge

Portland, Oregon builder Diversified Marine has received orders for two tugs in a series from Brusco Tug and Barge of Longview, Washington.

The Robert Allan Ltd-designed ship assist and escort tugs will each have a length of 25 metres and two Caterpillar 3516E main engines that will deliver a bollard pull of 89 tonnes. These will be near identical sisters of Hercules, a Brusco tug currently chartered by Crowley Maritime Corporation.

Delivery of the two tugs is scheduled for 2021.
