Boluda Towage Europe formally named its four newest tugs in a ceremony at the Port of Zeebrugge on Thursday, September 16.
The Damen-built VB Bolero, VB Rumba, VB Flandes, and VB Samba were delivered to Boluda earlier this year and have since been operating at the Port of Zeebrugge under an extended concession for towage services.
The new tugs all comply with IMO Tier III emissions requirements and are also equipped for firefighting duties. When at berth, the tugs will recharge their batteries via dedicated shore power connections at the port.
