Shelf Drilling inks second contract amendment with Middle East customer

Shelf Drilling has entered into a mutual agreement with an unnamed customer to amend the contract end date for the jackup rig Shelf Drilling Mentor from January 2022 to October 2020.

This contract was originally executed in 2017 and commenced in early 2018 in the Middle East.

Shelf Drilling Mentor will be available for opportunities beginning in early October 2020.

Prior to the amendment, Shelf Drilling Tenacious and Shelf Drilling Mentor had been awarded two-year extensions by the same customer in July 2019. Shelf Drilling Tenacious‘ contract end date was the first to be amended since then, having been moved from January 2022 to September 2020.
