Shelf Drilling amends contract end for jackup

UAE-based Shelf Drilling has entered into a mutual agreement with an unnamed customer to amend the contract end date for the jackup drilling rig Shelf Drilling Tenacious from January 2022 to September 2020.

The contract for Shelf Drilling Tenacious was originally executed in 2017 and commenced in early 2018 in the Middle East. With the amendment of the contract, the rig will be available for other opportunities beginning in mid-September 2020.

Prior to the amendment, Shelf Drilling Tenacious and Shelf Drilling Mentor had been awarded two-year extensions by the same customer in July 2019.
