Ukraine selects Turkish shipyards for corvette construction
The Ukrainian Ministry of Defence has entered into agreements with undisclosed Turkish shipbuilders for the supply of new corvettes for use by the Ukrainian Navy.
Defence minister Andrii Taran said the new vessels will help improve Ukraine’s combat capability to enhance security in the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov.
Mr Taran added that these are the first foreign economic agreements on military goods concluded by the ministry of defence.
