Second Keris-class littoral mission ship delivered to Royal Malaysian Navy

The Royal Malaysian Navy recently took delivery of its second Keris-class littoral mission ship (LMS).

Built by China Shipbuilding and Offshore International, the future KD Sundang has an LOA of 69 metres, a beam of nine metres, a draught of 2.8 metres, and space for 45 crew. Armament includes a remotely-operated 30-millimetre cannon and two 12.7-millimetre machine guns.

Two MTU 4000 diesel engines deliver a maximum speed of 24 knots and a range of 3,700 kilometres at 15 knots.
