Naval Group to provide long-term support for Greece’s future frigates

Naval Group has unveiled a new long-term cooperation plan wherein it will assist in the maintenance of the Belharra-class frigates slated to enter service with the Hellenic Navy.

The French defence firm will provide the Hellenic Navy with technical expertise and other related support to ensure the frigates’ availability over their expected 30-year lifespan. This will also include the training of the vessels’ future crews and maintenance teams.

The Belharra-class frigates will be modified variants of the 122-metre Frégates de taille intermédiaire (FTI) surface combatants that Naval Group is building for France.
