The Indian Navy commissioned the final one of eight locally-built Mark IV landing craft utility (LCU) vessels in a ceremony on Thursday, March 18.
Like its sisters, L-58 was designed and built by Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers (GRSE) of Kolkata.
The vessel is crewed by five officers and 50 enlisted sailors and is capable of transporting 160 troops as well as main battle tanks and other armoured vehicles.
