Future Pakistan Navy corvette Badr floated out
Karachi Shipyard and Engineering Works has launched the future PNS Badr, one of four MILGEM corvettes jointly developed by the Pakistani and Turkish governments for the Pakistan Navy.
The vessel will be operated in the anti-surface warfare, anti-submarine warfare, and anti-air warfare roles.
The future Badr is one of two MILGEM corvettes that are being built locally in Pakistan. The other two ships in the class are under construction at the facilities of Turkish defence company ASFAT.
