Welcome to Pilotage Week!
Pilot boats are always exciting and interesting. While their development tends to be more evolutionary than revolutionary, the sector continues to deliver some pleasant surprises.
This month’s Pilotage Week on Baird Maritime will present new boats from the renowned Hart Marine in Australia, to French designs, and from Finland’s Kewatec for Poland as well as from one state to another in the United States. Two are constructed from aluminium and another of very high-tech FRP. One, from Finland, of course, has been built to ice class for frigid Baltic Sea winters.
Readers can look forward to ideas, information and inspiration from Baird Maritime as usual. Enjoy!
