BW LPG posted a profit after tax of $137.9 million for the second quarter of 2026, up from $43.4 million in the corresponding period of 2025.

Profit attributable to equity holders rose to $120.1 million, or $0.79 per share, compared with $34.9 million, or $0.23 per share, during the prior-year period.

Shipping time charter equivalent income surged 80 per cent year-on-year to $274.9 million, buoyed by spot earnings averaging $85,200 per day.

Time charter revenue also increased 48 per cent to $64,000 per available day, supported by contracted coverage of 53 per cent across the fleet.

These shipping gains were partially offset by a product services gross loss of $18.1 million following unrealised mark-to-market losses on open positions.

Reflecting the quarterly shipping results, the company declared a cash dividend of $0.95 per share, representing a 120 per cent payout of profit attributable to equity holders.

In subsequent fleet transactions, subsidiary BW LPG India agreed to sell the 2007-built BW Elm and BW Birch, which the company reported are expected to yield net cash proceeds of approximately $64 million each upon delivery by mid-November 2026.

The group also agreed to sell the 2015-built BW Levant, a transaction expected to generate net cash proceeds of approximately $38 million.
