Santoku Senpaku's newest dual-fuel vehicle carrier launched in China
A new pure car and truck carrier (PCTC) ordered by Japanese shipping company Santoku Senpaku was launched into the water for the first time on Tuesday, June 3.
Built by China's Xiamen Shipbuilding Industry, the PCTC will now undergo outfitting and mooring tests.
Netherlands' Vertom welcomes eighth hybrid cargo ship in series
Thecla Bodewes Shipyards in the Netherlands recently handed over a new hybrid dry cargo vessel to local shipping company the Vertom Group.
Vertom Joyce is the eighth vessel in a series that also includes Vertom Cyta, Vertom Tomma, Vertom Lisa, and Vertom Willemijn. The ships were designed by Dutch naval architecture firm Groot Ship Design and are capable of transporting bulk, general, and containerised cargo.
Sea trials completed for Briese Group's newest multi-purpose cargo carrier
Chinese shipbuilder Taizhou Sanfu Heavy Industry has completed conducting sea trials of a new triple-deck cargo ship ordered by Germany’s Briese Group for the transport of bulk, heavy lift, and project cargo.
BBC Sao Paolo was ordered by Briese for operation under a long-term time charter by its subsidiary BBC Chartering for worldwide trading.
Germany's CLI orders cargo vessel for Europe-Canada route
German shipping company CLI has awarded Dutch shipbuilder Royal Bodewes a contract for the construction of a new cargo vessel that will be deployed on the regular shipping route between Canada, the Netherlands and the UK.
The completed multi-purpose cargo vessel will have a deadweight of almost 8,500 and will feature advanced environmental and fuel efficiency technologies.
Chinese car maker Geely places new vehicle carrier into service
Chinese automobile manufacturer the Geely Holding Group, through its Jisu Logistics business unit, has commenced operational sailings of its newest pure car and truck carrier (PCTC).
Jisu Fortune recently departed the Port of Suzhou for its maiden voyage with a cargo of more than 5,000 vehicles slated for distribution in the UK, the Netherlands, Belgium, and other countries in Europe.
