Viking has taken delivery of Viking Haki, a new 190-guest river cruise ship that will operate on the Rhine, Main and Danube rivers in Europe.
The vessel can accommodate guests in 95 staterooms. As with her sister ships, her square bow provides space for three full decks while her terrace includes indoor and outdoor space.
An asymmetric corridor layout permits two-room suites.
Viking will deploy the ship on its eight-day Rhine itinerary between Basel and Amsterdam and 15-day European tour from Budapest to Amsterdam. The latter will include a transit of the 16-lock Main-Danube Canal between Kelheim and Bamberg.
The vessel will also operate the company’s eight-day Danube itinerary between Budapest and Passau and a ten-day round trip from Amsterdam.
The delivery follows that of Viking Rota, another 190-guest ship assigned to the same rivers, earlier in October. Their earlier sister is Viking Annar, which was handed over in June.
All three ships were built by Neptun Werft of Germany.
Viking said it expects to take delivery of 17 more river ships by 2028, down from 18 at the time of the delivery of Viking Rota. The company expects its river fleet to reach 114 ships in 2028.
