Louis Dreyfus Armateurs welcomes two new crewboats to fleet
Singapore shipbuilder Strategic Marine has handed over two catamaran crewboats in a series to French offshore vessel operator Louis Dreyfus Armateurs (LDA).
The aluminium crewboats are vessels number three and four in a series currently in use with LDA after earlier sisters Acti’Vent and Esti’Vent.
Britoil orders six AHTs plus two options at Jiangsu Zhenjiang Shipyard
Britoil Offshore Services has launched a newbuilding program for six anchor handling tugs (AHTs) to be built at Jiangsu Zhenjiang Shipyard in China.
These 45-metre LOA, 80-tonne-bollard-pull vessels were specifically designed to meet the demanding conditions of offshore work, Britoil said, and feature increased fuel-carrying capacity.
New FPSO handed over to BW Offshore
Seatrium has handed over a new floating production storage and offloading unit (FPSO) to BW Offshore.
BW Opal will be operated under a lease and operate contract worth approximately US$4.6 billion. The contract has a firm period of 15 years plus up to 10 years' worth of options.
Jana Marine Services takes delivery of jackup trio from Chinese yard
Jana Marine Services of Saudi Arabia recently welcomed three new jackup vessels to its offshore support fleet.
Jana 505, Jana 508 and Jana 509 were built in China by CSSC Wuhan Marine Machinery Plant (WMMP). Jana 503 and Jana 504, two earlier jackups from the same series, were delivered by WMMP in 2024.
Netherlands' Petrodec christens jackup heavy-lift vessel
Netherlands-based offshore decommissioning specialist Petrodec recently held a formal naming ceremony for its self-elevating, heavy-lift vessel Obana.
The project to develop Obana started in 2021 when Petrodec decided on a solution for decommissioning complex offshore platforms in the UK North Sea.
