Despite the lingering Covid-19 pandemic, the marine projects sector has exhibited continued progress. New port construction and improvement projects as well as coastal works are underway on nearly every continent, and even more projects are in the pipeline, providing numerous opportunities for service providers.

Although major players like the United States, China, and many Western European countries continue to lead in terms of such projects, it is worth noting that a succession of planned developments will benefit other countries such as those in Latin America, Asia, and the Middle East.

Dredging and Land Reclamation • Maritime Infrastructure Development • Installation and Decommissioning • Maritime Surveying • Port Development • Offshore Wind Farm Development

In the offshore segment, China has its place in the spotlight once again thanks in part to the recent introduction of massive, heavy duty construction/installation vessels – such as some of the largest crane and piling ships yet built – with very few rivals in terms of capability elsewhere in the world.

The global marine projects sector continues to bristle with activity, with projects of varying scale and newbuild vessels of different uses regularly being featured on Baird Maritime.
