UK shipping company Pritchard-Gordon Tankers (PG Tankers) has taken delivery of a new oil product/chemical tanker built by China Merchants Jinling Shipyard Dingheng.
The 10,660DWT Lettie PG is the first of three ships ordered by PG Tankers from the same builder as part of an ongoing fleet renewal program. The ship was designed by FKAB Marine Design of Sweden and is registered to the Isle of Man.
China's Yangzhou Guoyu Shipbuilding launched a new chemical tanker at its facilities in Jiangsu province on Sunday, May 25, according to parent company Ningbo DCL Investments.
The 50,000DWT tanker is the first ship to be launched by Yangzhou Guoyu Shipbuilding since it emerged from bankruptcy in 2024.
South Korean shipbuilder HD Hyundai Heavy Industries has cut the first steel to be used in the construction of a new LNG carrier ordered by Qatar Gas Transport Company (Nakilat).
The vessel belongs to a series of 17 LNG carriers that will each have a total cargo capacity of 174,000 cubic metres. They will be operated under charter by QatarEnergy, though ownership will remain with Nakilat.
UAE shipowner ADNOC Logistics and Services (ADNOC L&S) took delivery of a new LNG carrier from China State Shipbuilding Corporation subisidiary Jiangnan Shipyard on Monday, May 26.
The DNV-classed Al Rahba is the third ship in a series of LNG carriers designed and built by Jiangnan Shipyard. It has an LOA of 298.5 metres, a beam of 46 metres, and three LNG cargo tanks with a total capacity of 175,000 cubic metres.
Final outfitting will soon commence on a new mineral oil carrier ordered by Netherlands-based Gambler Shipping.
Upon completion, Gambler will measure 135 metres long and will have a total cargo capacity of 4,180 cubic metres. An optimised design will enable the vessel to sail with minimal drag.
The tanker's delivery is scheduled for this autumn. It will be operated primarily in inland waterways in Europe.
