New pusher tug joins Crescent Marine Towing fleet

Family-owned company Crescent Marine Towing of Harvey, Louisiana, has taken delivery of a new pusher tug from local builder Eymard Marine Construction and Repair.

The newbuild is named Captain Walter after former tug captain Walter O’Connor, whose career with Crescent Marine spanned more than 30 years. Design work was provided by Entech.

The 60- by 26-foot (18.2- by 7.92-metre) Captain Walter is powered by two Caterpillar C18 EPA Tier III-compliant engines driving Twin Disc gearboxes.
