Uzmar cuts steel for new tug for Denmark’s Port of Aarhus

Uzmar Shipyard marked the start of construction of a new tug for the Port of Aarhus in Denmark with a steel-cutting ceremony on Thursday, September 3.

The Robert Allan Ltd-designed Hermes will have a length of 30 metres and two 2,013kW engines that will deliver a bollard pull of 65 tonnes.

The new Hermes will replace a similarly named 40-year-old tug at the Port of Aarhus.
