Rosmorport’s newest ice-class tug hits the water

TUG AND SALVAGE WEEK

Russia’s Onezhsky Shipbuilding has launched a new ASD ice-class escort tug ordered by local port operator Rosmorport.

Designed by Damen Shipyards Gorinchem, Pomor will have an LOA of 34.13 metres, a beam of 13 metres, a maximum draught of 5.9 metres, and accommodations for eight crewmembers and two other personnel. The vessel will be capable of a bollard pull in excess of 45 tonnes and a speed of 12 knots at maximum draught.

The tug will be operated by Rosmorport out of its Arkhangelsk branch office in western Russia.
