Rimorchiatori Riuniti takes delivery of Sanmar azimuth tractor tug

Italian port services company Rimorchiatori Riuniti has taken delivery of a new azimuth tractor tug from Turkey’s Sanmar Shipyards.

Named Italia, the Robert Allan Ltd-designed newbuild has a length of 25 metres, a beam of 12 metres, and two Caterpillar 3516C 2,100kW engines that deliver a bollard pull of 70 tonnes.

The tug will be used to provide towage services at the Port of Genoa.
