Livorno, Italy-based towage company Fratelli Neri formally named its three newest 25- by 13-metre RSD tugs in a ceremony on Saturday, May 15.

Two of the vessels, named Romito and Calafuria, were built at Damen Shipyards Galati in Romania and were delivered to Fratelli Neri at the end of 2019. Both of these tugs offer 70 tonnes of bollard pull in tractor tug configuration.

The latest addition to the company’s fleet has been named Gabriella Neri after the wife of company chairman Piero Neri. The 80-tonne bollard pull tug was built at Damen Song Cam Shipyard in Vietnam and was delivered to Livorno in January this year.

Damen said all three of the tugs are equipped with FiFi1 capability and feature escort, oil recovery, and salvage notation in full compliance with Italian flag regulations.
