Turkish builder Gelibolu Shipyard has launched a new harbour and coastal towing tug ordered by an unnamed customer.

The ice-class vessel will sail under the name Caspian Fauna and will be operated primarily in the Caspian Sea. Once completed, it will have an LOA of 30 metres, a beam of 11 metres, a draught of 1.8 metres, accommodations for 10 people, and two 970kW main engines that will deliver a bollard pull of 25 tonnes.

The tug may also be used for anchor handling duties.
