Eastern Shipbuilding launches second of two 24m tugs for Bisso Offshore
Eastern Shipbuilding Group has launched the second of two tugs in a series ordered by E.N. Bisso and Son subsidiary Bisso Offshore.
The Robert Allan Ltd-designed A. Thomas Higgins is a near identical sister of C. D. White, which was delivered by Eastern to Bisso in early January 2020.
The newbuild has a length of 24 metres, a beam of 11.5 metres, and two Caterpillar 3512E 1,900kW IMO Tier III-compliant diesel engines that deliver a bollard pull of 65 tonnes.
