Damen to supply two ASD tugs to Boluda Towage Europe

Damen Shipyards Group has received an order for two ASD tugs in a series from Boluda Towage Europe for operations in the Belgian port of Zeebrugge.

The new tugs will be named VB Bolero and VB Rumba and will join six other Boluda vessels in providing towage services at the port under a five-year concession that will commence on January 1, 2021. All eight tugs will be IMO Tier III-compliant.

Each vessel has a length of 27.59 metres, a beam of 12.93 metres, and a bollard pull of 85 tonnes.

The tugs were launched at Damen Song Cam Shipyards in Vietnam in July and are to be delivered to their new owners this December.
