Titagarh Wagons delivers second research ship in series to NIOT
Titagarh Wagons (TWL) handed over the second of two research vessels in a series to India’s National Institute of Ocean Technology (NIOT) on Friday, February 14.
The DP1 vessel has been named Sagar Anveshika (“Sea Explorer”). It has two laboratories and equipment for carrying out environmental indexing and bathymetric surveys in both coastal and offshore waters.
The vessel is a near identical sister of Sagar Tara, which was delivered to the NIOT in August 2019.
