The Maritime Office in Gdynia in Poland recently held an official naming ceremony for Zodiak II, its newest multi-purpose vessel.

Delivered by Remontowa Shipbuilding, the 60- by 13-metre vessel is equipped to perform towing, hydrographic measurements, oil spill response, icebreaking, buoy maintenance, search and rescue (SAR), firefighting, and limited cargo and personnel transport.

A diesel-electic propulsion system will enable Zodiak II to reach a speed of 13 knots.
