RESEARCH & TRAINING WEEK

The marine research and training sectors are once again featured on Baird Maritime.

We devote this week to reviewing five vessels, each one built to serve specific roles in research, survey, and training. One of the more notable of these is a former cargo ship that underwent extensive conversion works to enable it to undertake ocean research.

Marine Research • Maritime Training • Maritime Archaeology

One newbuild ship will be used by a US East Coast maritime college to train future crews. This vessel is unique in that it will also be able to perform the role of humanitarian and disaster response thanks to its large transport capacity.

We invite readers to be updated on the often innovative vessels and technology in these sectors of the global maritime industry.
