Australian pre-vocational training organisation TAFE Gippsland recently acquired a new vessel.

Completed in 2015, the catamaran is named Bar-ba-ka after the Boon Wurrung word for “porpoise.”

The vessel will be berthed at TAFE Gippsland’s SEAMEC campus in Victoria.

Bar-ba-ka was formerly operated by the Victoria Environment Protection Authority. It was acquired with the aid of funding provided by Regional and Specialist Training Fund (RSTF) of the Victoria state government.
