The Clackamas Fire District Number 1 of Milwaukie, Oregon, recently took delivery of a new aluminium centre console rescue boat purchased through a state-funded grant.

The 21-foot (6.4-metre) boat was built by SJX Jet Boats of Idaho. Its shallow draught enables it to operate in waters as little as two inches (0.05 metres) deep.

Power is provided by an Indmar 310hp (231kW) inboard engine.
