Philippine operator 2Go Group began operational sailings of its newest vessel on Sunday, May 30.

The Ro-Pax vessel 2Go Maligaya (“Joyful”), formerly the Stena RoRo ferry Stena Nova, is also currently the largest vessel in the 2Go fleet with a length of 195 metres.

The 2003-built vessel was delivered to the Philippines earlier this year following a long period of cold lay-up in Malaysia. Prior to that, it was operated by Japan’s Hankyu Ferry, which had named it Yamato.
