Mitsubishi Heavy Industries’ Shimonoseki Shipyard and Machinery Works has delivered the final one of two Ro-Pax vessels in a series ordered by local operator Hankyu Ferry.

Like sister vessel Settsu, Yamato measures 195 by 29.6 metres and could transport up to 663 passengers and 465 vehicles.

Yamato recently completed training and familiarisation voyages and has already begun operational sailings on the Shinmoji-Kobe route.
