DFDS to introduce first low-carbon vessel by 2025

Danish shipping company DFDS has confirmed its plans to introduce a vessel operating on low-carbon fuel by 2025.
A newly formed department within the company will conduct studies to determine whether the vessel should be a newbuild or a retrofit, defining which low-carbon fuel the vessel should run on, and deciding which route it should serve.
DFDS will also work on developing charging technology and other associated shore infrastructure to support the operations of the new vessel and similar examples.
