Filipinas Mindanao, a 2001-built ferry acquired by Philippines-based Cokaliong Shipping Lines, will commence operational sailings under its new owners following its inauguration into service later this month.

The vessel was purchased for ¥700 million (US$6.37 million) from Japanese operator Heartland Ferry, with which it sailed under the name Feelease Soya until its transfer to its new owners in November 2019.

With a length of 95.7 metres, a beam of 15 metres, and a displacement greater than 3,500 tonnes, Filipinas Mindanao is the largest ever vessel to join the Cokaliong fleet.
