Chinese-built 62m sightseeing boat sails on maiden voyage

PASSENGER VESSEL WEEK

A new sightseeing vessel operated by China’s Zhuhai Jiuzhou Blue Trunk Line Investment Holdings recently sailed on its maiden operational voyage.

Built by the Aulong Shipbuilding joint venture between Jianglong Shipbuilding and Austal Australia, Jiuzhou Wan 1 (“Jizhou Bay 1”) has an LOA of 62 metres, a beam of 11.6 metres, and capacity for 398 passengers. Onboard facilities include function rooms for corporate meetings and other private events.

The vessel’s area of operations will encompass the Greater Bay Area between Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macau.
