Philippines’ Jomalia Shipping acquires ex-Indonesian fast ferry

Philippine operator Jomalia Shipping Corporation has acquired a 2017-built fast ferry formerly owned by Indonesia’s Patagonia Xpress.

Built by Citra Shipyard of Indonesia, Patagonia Xpress 02 will sail with its new owners under the name Maica 6. It has an LOA of 33.75 metres, a beam of six metres, capacity for 190 passengers, and a speed of 30 knots.

The vessel had formerly served a number of inter-island routes out of Bali.
