Jianglong bags Philippine order for catamaran ferry

Jianglong Shipbuilding has been awarded a contract for the construction of a new high-speed catamaran ferry for an unnamed operator in the Philippines.

The vessel will have an LOA of 32 metres, a beam of nine metres, a speed of 26 knots, and VIP and economy class seating for up to 158 passengers.

Jianglong confirmed that the vessel will be built to the same design as that of Maica 5 (pictured), a catamaran ferry that had been delivered by the company to Philippines-based Jomalia Shipping Corporation in the third quarter of 2019.
