China Communications Construction’s newest ferry floated out

Aulong Shipbuilding has floated out a new ferry ordered by China Communications Construction Company.

Once completed, the aluminium-hulled Sanya Wan ("Sanya Bay") will have an LOA of 54 metres, a beam of 9.8 metres, seating for up to 268 passengers, and a hybrid propulsion system that will deliver a speed of 26 knots.

The ferry will be used primarily to provide transport to and from Hainan Free Trade Port in southern China.
