Cahaya Samudra launches new high-speed vessel for Majestic Fast Ferry

Indonesia’s Cahaya Samudra Shipyard has launched a new passenger catamaran for local company Majestic Fast Ferry.

Named Brilliance of Majestic, the vessel is the first unit of a new class of 42- by 15.6-metre high-speed ferries designed by Incat Crowther for the Tanjung Pinang-based operator.

The catamaran has economy class seating for 261 passengers on the main deck, business class seating for another 43 on the upper deck cabin, eight crew berths, and quad MTU 12V2000 M72 1,080kW main engines that deliver a speed of 38 knots at full load.
