Yinson GreenTech’s MarinEV business has obtained a one-year bareboat charter from HHH Marine and Logistics covering the electric cargo vessel Hydromover in Singapore.
The vessel began carrying supplies from port terminals to ships at anchor in the Port of Singapore on August 17, 2026. The agreement also has options to extend.
The company said MarinEV had secured two commercial charters in Singapore in less than a month. The preceding agreement was with OPL Services for Hydromover 001, with that contract commencing on July 22, 26 days before Hydromover began serving her charter with HHH Marine.
Yinson GreenTech said battery-system upgrades had raised the energy capacity of Hydromover and given her greater flexibility in operation, while retaining zero local operational emissions. Experience with the vessel also informed the development of Hydromover 001.
Yinson GreenTech said the earlier charter would see Hydromover handle cargo and logistics work for OPL in the Port of Singapore.
OPL had earlier expressed its intention to trial Hydromover and shared operational feedback as the vessel was developed. The vessel’s first commercial trial with OPL began in late August 2024, separate from the operator’s 2026 charter of Hydromover 001.
By January 2026, Hydromover 001 had already begun operational sailings, taking light cargo to ships at anchor in the Singapore Strait that were waiting to dock at the Port of Singapore.
Introduced in 2023 under the Goal Zero Consortium, Hydromover is an 18.5-metre catamaran. At launch, Yinson GreenTech described it as the first cargo vessel in Singapore to be fully electric, equipped with swappable batteries and able to carry up to 25 tonnes of cargo.
