Sea trials completed for new Russian border guard patrol boat
Vympel Shipyard has completed conducting sea trials of a new patrol vessel slated for the Border Service of Russia’s Federal Security Service.
Grif is the fourth vessel to be built under Project 1496M1, also known as the Lamantin-class.
In addition to being used for patrols, the vessel could also perform coastal towing, firefighting, and limited cargo transport.
