Cochin Shipyard launches floating outpost vessels for Indian border guard

Cochin Shipyard has launched three floating border outpost vessel (FBOPs) slated for the Border Security Force of India (BSF).

The vessels will each have a length of 46 metres, a beam of 12 metres, stowage for four smaller fast patrol boats, and space for petrol, fresh water, and provisions.

Once in service, the FBOPs will be deployed along India’s eastern and western borders.
