The Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) has confirmed that it will deploy a new series of unmanned surface vehicles (USVs) on its future multi-role combat vessels (MRCVs) scheduled to be delivered between 2025 and 2030.

The frigate-sized vessels will be configured to launch and recover a force protection variant of the Venus 16 USV developed by ST Engineering.

The RSN is also looking into the possibility of the MRCVs being used as motherships for unmanned aerial and underwater vehicles as well.
