South Korea Navy’s fourth Daegu-class frigate launched

Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) launched the fourth of an eventual eight Daegu-class frigates at its Ulsan shipyard on Wednesday, April 29.

The 122-metre vessel will be named Donghae. Like its sisters, it is designed to be an improved variant of the Incheon-class 114-metre coastal defence ships currently in service.

Delivery of the future ROKS Donghae to the South Korean Navy is expected in late 2021.
