Fincantieri has begun conducting sea trials of a new multi-purpose offshore patrol ship slated for the Italian Navy.

The trials of the future Raimondo Montecuccoli are being carried out in the Tyrrhenian Sea under the supervision of the Organisation for Joint Armament Cooperation (Organisation conjointe de cooperation en matière d’armement; OCCAR).

The ship is scheduled to be delivered to the navy in January 2023.
