The Israeli Navy has awarded Israel Shipyards a contract for the supply of four newbuild Shaldag Mark V patrol boats.

As with their earlier Mark V sisters, the newer Shaldags will each have all-aluminium construction, waterjet propulsion, machine gun armament, and stern launching and recovery equipment for one rigid inflatable boat.

The craft will be used for security missions within Israel’s littoral waters as well as in the deeper waters of the country’s exclusive economic zone.
