Hudong Zhonghua cuts steel for two more Type 054A frigates for Pakistan

China’s Hudong Zhonghua Shipbuilding held a steel-cutting ceremony for two new frigates for the Pakistan Navy on Friday, November 1.

The vessels will be the third and fourth Type 054A frigates that Hudong Zhonghua will build for Pakistan.

The frigates will be used primarily for anti-surface warfare (ASuW), anti-submarine warfare (ASW), and anti-air warfare (AAW).
