Finnish yard to put up assembly hall for corvette newbuildings

Finnish shipyard Rauma Marine Constructions will expand its facilities with the building of a new multi-purpose assembly hall dedicated to the construction of corvettes for the country’s navy.

Construction of the new assembly hall will commence in November 2021 and will be undertaken by local company SRV. The completion is scheduled for the end of 2022.

The project has a total cost of approximately €26 million (US$30 million).
