Israel Shipyards has won a tender for the supply of its Shaldag Mark V patrol boat design to an unnamed East Asian navy, the company confirmed on Thursday, May 13.

The agreement signed by Israel Shipyards, the Israeli Ministry of Defense, and the customer covers the transfer of knowledge regarding the construction of the vessels, as well as the preparation of the customer’s shipyard for vessel construction through an upgrade of the shipyard.

Israel Shipyards said it will also conduct training at the customer’s facility regarding the construction of the boats’ sections as well as maintenance of the vessels.
