Hamburg-based shipowner Ernst Russ has sold the 803TEU feeder container vessel Mirror, the company said on Monday, November 2.

The vessel, built in 2007, is due to pass to her new owner in January 2027. By agreement, the parties have kept the purchase price undisclosed.

Ernst Russ said that, as the hand-over will not take place until 2027, the sale will have no impact on its assets, financial position or earnings for the 2026 financial year.

Mirror has a deadweight of 9,344 and sails under the Portuguese flag with Madeira as her port of registry. She is currently employed on charter.

The sale is the company's third container vessel disposal for 2026. The 2008-built, 1,710TEU EF Emira was sold over in July, while the hand-over of the similarly-sized EF Emma is scheduled to be completed before the end of the year.

Over the same period, Ernst Russ has taken delivery of the multi-purpose vessels Ronnie and Charlie, each fixed on a seven-year charter.

The company has also agreed to acquire six 18,500DWT IMO Type II product/chemical tankers under construction at Wuhu Shipyard in China. The second of these, Farrie Russ, was delivered on October 27, and the remaining four are due in 2027.

Ernst Russ continues to invest in container tonnage through its ElbFeeder joint venture with Eimskip, which is developing two 2,280TEU newbuildings that will enter ten-year charters on delivery.
