Spliethoff orders DP2 crane vessel pair from Fujian Mawei
Spliethoff Group has placed an order for two DP2 crane vessels in a series with China’s Fujian Mawei Shipbuilding.
The vessels will be used for both heavy lift transportation and offshore installation duties. Each will have a deadweight of 12,500 tonnes, more than 2,875 square metres of cargo deck space, 5,700 square metres of total deck space, and two 500-tonne heavy lift cranes.
The first vessel is expected to be delivered in the autumn of 2021.
